Sibelius and Mussorgsky coming soon....
Coming off the wonderful March Pops concert with Chris Brubeck and Triple Play, the BCSO switches gears with a program of Sibelius and Mussorgsky.
Sibelius's tuneful Karelia Suite opens the program. Bucks County's own Elizabeth Pitcairn, playing her Stradivarius Red Violin, will then join the orchestra to play Sibelius's haunting--and thrilling--Violin Concerto in D Minor.
The concert concludes with a bang with Maurice Ravel's thrilling orchestration of Modest Mussorgsky's monumental Pictures At An Exhibition.
