Michael Fahrnar, euphonium
Michael Fahrner is a passionate euphonium artist based in Philadelphia, PA. Highlights of the 2026-27 season include the world premiere of composer Erin Busch’s new euphonium concerto with the Rowan University Wind Ensemble, and solo recitals at the University of North Georgia and in the Southeast US.
A dedicated pedagogue, Fahrner currently serves as Adjunct Professor of Euphonium at Rowan University and maintains private studios in Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia. He previously served as Assistant Director of the Atlantic Youth Brass Band and on the brass faculty at Settlement Music School.
An avid chamber musician, Fahrner is a member of the LP Quartet, a tuba-euphonium quartet focused on new works and educational outreach. The LP Quartet is regularly invited to present at schools and to perform at conferences. Recent appearances include the New England Band Directors Institute and the 2025 International Women’s Brass Conference, where the group premiered Erin Busch’s I wandered lonely as a cloud and Kyle Grimm’s Never Too Far From Home.
Fahrner is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Euphonium Performance at Temple University. He received his Bachelor of Music in Euphonium Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and earned his Master of Music in Euphonium Performance from Georgia State University. Concert Parking at Delaware Valley University
Limited parking will be available in Lot C adjacent to the Life Sciences Building. Additional parking can be found in Lot A using the University’s Main Entrance on Butler Avenue. A Bucks County Transport shuttle bus will be available from 2:00-3:30 pm to take you to the Life Sciences Building and return you to your vehicles after the concert. Accessible Parking may be found in Lots A & C.
Note: Parking is not permitted along New Britain Road.
