Remembering Tamara Warren and Mark Hintenlang

Jan 7, 2022 | Announcements

It is with great sadness that we share the news that the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra has lost two of its cherished musicians—cellist Tamara Warren and trumpeter Mark Hintenlang. Tamara passed away after a brief illness on December 23 and Mark after a lengthy illness on December 30.

Tamara, who played in the BCSO for 18 years, derived great joy from playing and teaching cello and was a strong supporter of the arts in her community. She was known by all as vivacious, kind-hearted and compassionate, with a zest for life that resonated with everyone she encountered.

Obituary for Tamara Nelle Getz-Warren

A proficient jazz and pops trumpeter, Mark began playing with the BCSO for Pops Concerts, then demonstrated his versatility by playing classical concerts whenever additional trumpets were required. A patient, kind and generous man, Mark served his church and community in a variety of roles, sharing his musical talents in numerous large and small ensembles.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Tamara’s husband, John, and their children, Katie and Thomas, and to Mark’s wife, Betty, and children, Lee and Laura.
