BCSO Concludes 72nd Season

The BCSO concluded its concert season with a rousing performance at Doylestown Township’s Central Park on June 4. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of both the park and its widely popular concert series (now known as The Thompson Performing Arts Series), the orchestra wowed over 1,000 attendees with Sousa marches, Strauss waltzes, a musical salute to our local veterans, and familiar tunes from West Side Story.

The BCSO’s first-ever outdoor concert capped a highly successful season that included three classical concerts featuring great masterworks and highly acclaimed saxophone, piano and cello soloists; a sold-out Pops Concert filled with favorite themes from blockbuster films; and a Family Concert that featured BCSO’s Youth Concerto Competition winner and student musicians from CB East high school.

BCSO is proud to be a partner in the arts community of Bucks County. We are most grateful for the enormous support of our patrons who have attended these performances, and for the scores of volunteers, donors, sponsors, and advertising partners who have donated generously of time and treasure to enable our orchestra to continue its vital mission in our community.
