Historic Collaboration: A Concert at the Castle

The Bucks County Symphony Orchestra and the Mercer Museum (operated by the Bucks County Historical Society) presented A Concert at the Castle on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the Elkins Gallery.

For nearly 20 years, from 1959-1977, the BCSO and the Bucks County Historical Society presented an annual “Musicale” in the Elkins Gallery.  Both organizations were thrilled to bring back a nod to this cherished tradition after nearly half a century!

Chamber musicians from the BCSO—Inna Nedorezov, Nina Vieru Zubaidi, Cindy Smith, Kyle Almeida, Marka Stepper, Walter Fisher, and Steve Kyle—performed classical string works by George Frideric Handel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Gioachino Rossini.

Following the performance, more than 70 guests enjoyed an intimate reception and exclusive evening access to the Mercer Museum’s exhibit Everyday Rhythms: Music at the Mercer.
